A: Yes! Our BMS features low-temperature protection cut-off to protect your battery from damage and extend its life. Low temp cut-off protection limits are 0ºC ± 4ºC (32°F ± 39.2°F) for charging, and -20ºC ± 4ºC (-4°F ± 39.2°F) for discharging.
Q5. Do I have to buy a special charger for LiFePO4 batteries?
A: We recommend using a lithium iron phosphate 4-string (14.6V) charger. Alternatively, you can charge via photovoltaic solar panels through an MPPT controller, or use an inverter with a built-in AC to DC charging function.
Q6. What is a BMS and how does it protect the battery?
A: A Battery Management System (BMS) protects the cells from unsafe conditions such as low/high voltage, extreme temperatures, and short circuits. It shuts off the battery to prevent damage, ensures cell balance during charge cycles, and features a high-temperature disconnect at 75°C (167°F).
