How should the battery be stored to prevent damage?
Keep the battery away from heat sources and direct sunlight. It must not be charged within a sealed container. Do not store the battery in spaces containing acid gases, and avoid short circuits. Check and maintain the battery regularly.
What measures should be taken if the battery is stored unused?
To avoid irreversible sulfation during long-term storage, the battery should be given an additional charge once every three months when not in use.
How should I handle a damaged or leaking battery safely?
If a battery breaks down and leaks electrolyte, clean it up immediately using a cotton cloth. Avoid contact with your skin; if the electrolyte touches your skin, wash the area thoroughly with water. Never throw batteries into a fire, as they will explode.
Can I clean the battery using organic solvents?
No, do not clean the battery with organic solvents such as petrol, as it can damage the battery casing. Always replace the battery if the jar is cracked, leaking, or if the capacity is severely degraded, especially after one year of use.
